Okay, so I just finished the first episode of the new Honey and Clover dorama. So far so good, but I think this one has the potential to go south real quick if they aren’t careful.
I don’t think I’m going to do full recaps with this blog. By the time someone reads this they probably have already seen what I’m writing about. I think I’ll stick more to the editorial. So…

The ending theme to the new dorama Hachimitsu to Clover (Honey and Clover) is Canvas by Ken Hirai. Honey and Clover is by far my favorite anime and I have extremely high hopes for this series. I like this song and think it fits with the feeling of the series and I hope they use music as effectively throughout the dorama as in the anime. Read the rest of this entry »

I’ve seen this video too many times to count at this point. The song, Tsubomi, is by the Jpop duo Kobuburo. I happened to come across this song watching the 2007 Music Station Super Live and remember thinking, “Damn, these suckas can sing!” After the show I went searching for the video, as well as as many song as I could get my hands on. These guys are one of my favorite groups at the moment and I think they won song of the year for this one.
Now, if I spoke Japanese this video would probably come across more sentimental and touching, but since I don’t, this is just some badass hand puppeteering. Never seen anything like it. I can’t even do a stupid rabbit and these folks are recreating violent nature videos.
Good times.
